RULES

PLEASE READ AND HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE RULES. WE HOPE TO HAVE A FUN, FRIENDLY, AND CHRIST HONORING EVENT.

1. Rules: The following rules for the tournament will be used. These rules will be interpreted by the tournament director and all decisions will be final. Due to current health guidelines, there will be no gathering at launch or at weigh ins. We ask that you weigh in your fish and leave. There will be prize pick up scheduled for 6pm the date of the tournament at Blount Community Church. (1533 W. Lamar Alexander Pkwy) Captains meeting and drawings will be on Facebook live at 7pm on Friday, October 23rd.
2. Eligibility: All teams who have paid the appropriate fee. Anyone under 18 years of age must fish with a guardian. 3 people are allowed if a high school student or below is fishing.
3. Entry fee and payback: Total entry fee per boat will be $100.00. Payback will be 50% of total entry fees received. 50% of entry fee will be donated to Smoky Mountain FAill be the heaviest total weight paying back one position for every 10 boats entered. Additionally there will be $100.00 big fish payback. It will pay the single largest largemouth bass and smallmouth bass.
4. Places and times of tournament: The tournament will be held Saturday October 24th, 2020 from 7:30am until 1:00pm weigh in. The tournament will take off from Louisville Point Park. Weigh in will be at the same location. There will be no fee to launch from this location.
5. Departure: Boats will be assigned a flight number and will launch with their flight group. 
6. Live-well check: All entries must participate in having their live-wells checked before departure.
7. Tackle and equipment: Only artificial lures may be used. No live bait. All fish must be caught on rod and reel. Only one rod and reel in use at any time is allowed per person. Trolling is not permitted.
8. Boats and equipment: Boats must be equipped with functional, aerated live-well. Boats may not have motors which exceed the horsepower rating or BIA rating plate on boat. All  Tennessee water patrol laws and regulations apply. No trailering of boats during tournament hours. Competitors must remain in their boats at all times with partners except in case of an emergency.
9. Safety and sportsmanship: Safe boating and fishing practices must be observed at all times. Life jackets 
and kill switches must be worn any time the combustion engine is on and running. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the boats during official tournament hours.
10. Permitted fishing locations: Anywhere on Fort Loudon Lake, Tellico River.
11. Scoring: Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass will be counted. Largemouth bass must  be 14” greater. Spotted bass will be measured as large mouth bass. Smallmouth bass must be 18” or greater. Tournament will have five (5) fish limit per boat. At no time shall any team possess more than the five fish limit. One (1) pound penalty will be assessed for the first dead fish. More than one dead fish will result in disqualification. If a short fish is weighed in, you will forfeit that fish and your largest fish. There will be a golden rule at the weigh in and you can ask for courtesy checks on fish. This is a catch and release tournament and all fish will be returned to the lake. Take care of your fish. If you need clarification, ask. No culling at the ramp.
12. Ties: Ties will be broken by coin flip and at the discretion of the director.
13. Check in / late penalty: Competitor must be back at launch site to be considered on time. If a team is late, the team will be assessed one (1) pound penalty per minute , up to five minutes. If more than five minutes, then that team will be disqualified from the tournament. No exceptions. There is to only be 5 bass total in the livewell at one time. No culling at the ramp.
14. Quality assurance test: All applicants must agree to a polygraph. Refusal to submit or failure of the polygraph test will result in disqualification of that team from the tournament with no refund.
15. Tournament cancellation: This will be a rain or shine event. If the tournament is cancelled due to reasons of safety on Saturday October 24th, 2020, the event will be rescheduled for the next available weekend. This tournament will proceed
